Do you do search engine optimisation (SEO) and do you submit my site to search engines? We design all of our websites with a view to them being indexed (included) in search engines. We do not design and build specifically for this, but avoid a lot of the bad habits that would go against you when being looked at by a spider or robot (a program that goes around the web and says whether you get in or not). It is always a compromise with websites between budget, time and optimisation, we try to do our best all three, and design for humans as well as computers. It has become a lot easier recently, with the careful implication of XHTML and CSS, to produce fast, dynamic and attractive sites, that also perform well in search engines. When designing a site we do submit it as routine to Google and DMOZ, which are the main players that feed a lot of the smaller engines and directories, but there are specialist services out there for submitting your site. Whether they work or not we do not guarantee. |
