One of the best things about Infiniti is that we completely release copyright of artwork on payment.

Well sure, I hear you say, I've paid my money and I expect to own the design. We agree, but you will find that Infiniti is in the minority in that respect. When you have a logo designed by Infiniti, you get a disc with your logo artwork on in various different formats to make it as flexible as possible. You can even take that logo to another designer if you want and get them to work it up to letterheads and business cards for example. It's yours.

But some design agencies will retain copyright on your work, to tie you to them, and will even charge you to supply files for external services like signage.

Granted, Infiniti still owns the source files. These are internal files generated to build your artwork files, like a jig for a welder or a frame for a builder. We keep these on file for the benefit of our clients, rather than holding them to ransom.

It's all good for our clients but leaves us a little exposed, so to protect ourselves we have to insist that copyright is transferred only on payment.

Until payment is received, all materials and files created by Infiniti are owned by Infiniti. For you to pass these files on for print etc they need to be paid for.

It's not really a problem. You wouldn't leave a shop with items without paying. If you ordered a sofa, for example, you would even have paid in advance of it being delivered.

This way we can concentrate on providing you with effective design solutions, instead of chasing payment, which keeps our hourly rate down and continues to give you value for money.

You don't really want to be paying what other designers charge, do you?
