Unfortunately at this time Infiniti Mixed Media is not looking for staff and has no design, illustration or 3D modelling positions available. I am always interested in new talent and try to offer advice and assistance in furthering the careers of designers and students alike, although sometimes it is not always possible to contact enquiring parties directly and give them specific feedback. However, something I can't stress enough is; as designers you need to raise the bar a little on your initial enquiry and make it stand out from the hundreds of other enquiries that are jostling for attention. Think of it as a great opportunity to demonstrate your design talent even before the studio manager/creative director has even looked at your portfolio. Make your CV interesting, inspiring, unusual (but not so unconventional that it is difficult to read or inconvenient to file). Deliver the information using any and all methods available to you. That doesn't mean just making a pdf of your cv (although you should at least do that) and emailing it to the company. Create an engaging and interactive website, cd rom, portfolio, podcast, dvd video, collection of samples or even (new idea!) make up your own 'design book' at mypublisher.com. It is this little bit of extra application and thought that can make all the difference. Get your target contact excited about you, your ideas and more importantly; your potential, and you are one step closer to an interview and ultimately, a job.
